This was the first song I wrote and recorded for FAWM, and this is that recording. Time became the underlying theme for several songs here (hence the album title), but this is the only one which claimed to have “plenty” of it. Even I know better.
lyrics
Standing up, holding ground
I will not take this sitting down
I do not believe our lives are passing us by
passing us by
Why are you in such a hurry
we got better things to do than worry
someday the stars will all align
we've got plenty of time
Life is all, give and take
in the end, it's only what you make it
and we've made it pretty nice
we're doing fine, doing fine
Why are you always in a rush
I think we're going fast enough
we just left the starting line
we've got plenty of time
Just relax now, face the facts now
things were always gonna be
what they're gonna be
time keeps marching on and on and
we've got time before it's gone...
